Yeah, we all want to achieve amazing success in everything that we do. Whether it is our work, in school, in sports, or business, we want to accomplish outstanding results and we want it fast.

Luckily, there is a way how you can achieve extraordinary success quickly and almost guaranteed. This method is called the 90/90/1 Rule.

I learned this rule from Sir Robin Sharma, the world-class success coach and the best-selling author of several great books like The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, Leader With No Title, and The 5 AM Club.

The 90/90/1 Rule is powerful. You can use this rule to create wildly successful results in just 90 days. And yes, if you stick to this rule long enough, you will eventually create the success you desire and stay way ahead of others.

So, what is this 90/90/1 Rule all about?

This is how Robin Sharma explained it…

“For the next 90 days, the first 90 minutes of your workday, focus monomaniacally on your single most valuable project. I call it your game-changing move. It might be creating a new piece of code that will revolutionize the marketplace. It might be a new product that, when you launch it, will fill a need within your industry that no peer is currently providing. I don’t know what your game-changing move is, but this is your poetry. This is your magnum opus for the next 90 days.”

Yes, the rule is simple, for the next 90 days, spend your first 90 minutes working on your #1 goal.

· If you want to write a book, spend the first 90 minutes each day writing.

· If you want to get back in shape, use your first 90 minutes every day to exercise.

· If you want to build a profitable blog, invest 90 minutes each morning to work on your blog.

This is how you create outstanding success. Every day, you spend time working on your #1 priority.

Research states that it took 66 days to form a new habit. And when you apply the 90–90–1 Rule, you are going to build a new habit by spending 90 minutes into working on your goals for 90 days straight.

Why the First 90 Minutes?

This is because in the morning, there are fewer distractions and so you can focus better. Plus, usually, your energy, willpower, and motivation are at the highest levels in the morning.

And as you go through the day, making decisions, talking, thinking, and working on things, you use your willpower and energy. Just like the battery level on your phone, it is full in the morning. But as you go through the day, making calls, messaging, checking emails and social media, the battery level decreases.

Therefore, most people have the highest productivity in the morning. This is why you want to spend the first 90 minutes of your day to work on your most important project.

As a blogger, I dedicated my mornings to write content and work on my blog. I started blogging since 2015 and I have been doing it for 5 years now. The good news is that this has become my habit. And today, my blog has almost 500 articles with over 2,000 words, and every day, it receives about a thousand visits.

No matter what you want to achieve, you have to invest time to create the results you want. Hence, schedule your first 90 minutes every day to work on your goal.

Why Focus on Just One Goal?

If you are serious about creating extraordinary success in what you do, you need to focus. Like Apple, it is a hundred billion-dollar company, yet, they don’t try to sell everything. If you want to buy a MacBook, you have 2 choices: MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

This is what it means to be focused. You want to put in 100% of your energy to achieve the extraordinary result, hence, don’t split yourself too thin by focusing on many goals at the same time.

Instead, choose to focus. Work on only 1 goal at a time. Bruce Lee once said:

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

Having a fully completed project is much better than having 10 incomplete projects. Like a magnifying glass, when it is focused under the sunlight, it can burn the paper.

Thus, identify your number one priority or your most important goal, and work on it for 90 minutes each day, for the next 90 days.

Conclusion

Are you serious and 100% committed to achieving the outstanding success you desire? If you do, follow the 90–90–1 Rule. Stick to it for 90 days and see what will happen after that.

Most people don’t have the commitment to follow through, and they wonder why they fail to become successful.

I have been using the principle of this rule in building my blog, and I can tell you that this rule is powerful, and it will work for you if you are willing to work on it.
